Gratitude

I love this time of year, people are reminded to be grateful for their blessings. I wish we could remember this all year. I think the world would be an amazing place if we really did.

I have been thinking about the things Kade and I have to be grateful for.. and it seems I am running out of paper and brain space to keep track.

  • We have the gospel. Which when everything comes to a halt and the world is all but lost is the only thing that really matters. We have a Savior who atoned for our sins, and understands our every pain discomfort and mistakes. We have temples on the  earth where we have been sealed as an eternal family and can perform proxy ordinances for other families to have the same. We are sealed to our parents and siblings. We have the sacrament every Sunday where we can renew our covenants with Heavenly Father and become clean again. We have the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ. We have a living modern day prophet Thomas Monson who leads and guides the church today. We have missionaries who spread the gospel to every corner of the earth bringing other unto Christ. Seriously, the list goes on and on but it is a list that will continue through out our lives.

  • We have a roof over our heads and food on the table. With the natural disasters and the war worldwide, we remember how blessed we are to have these simple but comforts that make life just that little bit easier.

  • We have cars that can take us to see family for the holidays. They take us to work everyday. They take us to the grocery store and other simple places that make life work.

  • We have jobs, that support our little family and put money in our pockets to take care of ourselves.

  • We have family that cares about us and loves us.

  • We have each other. We can rely on each other, make each other laugh, enjoy life together.

The list can go on and on, but I am grateful that I can make lists and have that sense of gratitude. It makes all of those... "issues"  that are so silly and unimportant diappear with a blink of an eye.

What are you grateful for? Have you had the chance to sit down and write out a list? It helps with everything you seems to be dealing with, promise.

Here is a video I love: Enjoy!
