In my emails to him each week I try and stay as positive as possible, and make the kid laugh! But sometimes I have to tell him the truth, because he is my best friend and always has the best answers.
The sunday( monday for him) before thanksgiving we were joking around and the conversation turned serious, I wrote, ( no excuses for dude and poor grammar: that's just the way it is)
"Hahaha dude I don't know! I will seriously take any job right now! It's so hard to find one! I have applied to like 50 jobs in the last two weeks! It's so scary, this whole not having a job! But it's where we are supposed to go, I know lord will help us out! "
and my best friend wrote back:
"haha he will! I work harder out here to send more blessings your way how does that sound?? and try farther out like winco?"
Yeah, the kid who earlier told me he doesn't remember the last time he slept with a blanket, on the other side of the world, just offered to work harder for me and my cause. I tell you, I cried, like completely sobbed... like a kid just been slapped.
"ah! you are so sweet! I am going to start looking in Idaho falls. We are moving up there two days after Christmas, so about a week before school starts and a week before all the students get there, so hopefully I can get a jump start!"
"anything I can do to help all you have to do is when I come make me a home cooked meal every now and then haha"
So thanks to this amazing little brother, my job experience in utah, and the help of our heavenly father who loves us, I found a job. I found the perfect job, and though life doesn't seem to be working out schedule wise, I keep finding more time to get things done, because someone out there is working hard:)
