It's funny, you know? How we as a civilization spend so much time looking at, talking about, being surrounded by all of these life choices that aren't our own? I am serious! One person's reality is just a dream of an other's, or that favorite TV show is a written screen by screen of someone dreams.
Our society thrives on this Grass is greener on someone else's side. The marketing campaigns are always trying to show you there is something better out there. The constant shove down your throat, what you have and your life is not as great unless you have this... or you went to this... or you wear this... or you look like this.. etc.
I mean it's completely okay to dream, to romanticize, to think bigger, better. But whatever happened to being happy with your simple happy life?
With that said, I think we take wrong turns, stay to long in places where we are comfortable, live the stage we are in because we claim its truly what we really want.
It's these moments in life, where we are daring to dream a different stage; A new place in our lives that we can change. Our mind set creates this unseen momentum that builds, powers us to do more, try the uncomfortable.
This is bravery; We see it in others. We see bravery and think,"I want that! I need to try that!" or "why can't my life be like that?"
What I propose is simple. Find your dream, stick to it... Fight for it. Enjoy the little triumphs getting there. That everyday grind, switch it up a bit. Try something new that causes you to shake it up. Learn that your life is what you make it. That every"life" you see hear about, watch, are other's peoples dreams and they are happy. Stop comparing. Stop searching. Get up, write it out, follow it and be happy for other's triumphs be there for them when they fail.
no more hoping, wishing, waiting. do it now, you may not get the chance later.
Now, that I have gotten that of my chest. Life is grand over here! Just taking it in strides and loving every lazy second! What are you all up to? Trying to survive the winter like we are? Its dreadful. Not sure I can handle another dose of this inversion layer. Its strictly disgusting. oh well its going to be over soon, and we are planning our trips out of here!
let me know what you are up too!?
