I love this country. I love my freedom. I love my ability to practice my freedom on a daily basis, and I am above all grateful for all those who have served to protect my freedom and those who gave their lives for it, I hope to hug them all someday.
I grew up in a very patriotic household. As you can see pictured below, there was never a dull fourth of July and it was always celebrated with the reminders of what freedom really is, and how much it costs.
Our flight From Idaho Falls, was gloriously horrible. Arriving 4 hours later then planned... It was all okay though once we were picked up and treated to In-n-out! Here we got to say our hello's and boy did that make me one happy person!
My mom had decided ( maybe my dad too? not too sure..) To go to the Hollywood bowl for their fireworks show. I had never been before and it was such a cool venue! Seriously, so much fun!
on our walk up there I tried to get a few pictures, and by far this one is my favorite!
Once we found our seats, I grabbed a few with the these guys!
and these guys,
Once the concert Started, LA Philharmonic was amazing, then the Second half was Steve Martin and his guests accompanied by the LA Phil.
At one point Jackson and Kade took off and came back with the much desired cheese plate and watermelon lemonade! SO of course I had to get myself one of those and I got the last 3 in the whole place! It was so yummy!
Here we are:)
Jackson had to get one of himself to prove he took the picture... yep, he is feeling like him self again.
The fireworks were so fun and the lighting was really creative.
It also turns out Steve Martin is not only Hilarious but an incredible Banjo player. Totally not joking! You tube it!
The next morning my mom and I went and got our nails done, such a treat for e! Thanks again Mom!
Then, we all went surfing! All those black dots in the water are people. It was so much fun to get in the water with everyone including my dad...it's been awhile since I have seen him get up! He is way better than I am!
We hung out at the house on Saturday Night. It was perfect, all we wanted to do was to just hang out with everyone! Walker and I got in the Spa... not so great on our sunburns I must say!
Sunday was super laid back and looked a bit like this.. don't ask what they are playing I have no clue, I believe it is called a video game:) We watched "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" as a family. Then everyone went to to bed ( expect Kade and Jackson who stayed up until midnight to grab some in-n-out) Then we left bright and early Monday morning. It was so great to spend time with family, and we miss them already! Thanks again for having us Mom and Dad. We sure love you!
We were on the flight TO Idaho Falls that Friday!! They had pretty much forgotten about our flight at LAX.. Totally worth getting up at 6 to leave at noon.
