Around these parts.

Around these parts( what am I 90?) Anyways... its been an odd summer here in Rexburg. It hasn't really gotten super warm. The infamous wind is so horrible words cannot describe. But there have been some good days and some horrible ones.

I will show you,

there is this cute new place here called SodaVine and they have all sorts of fun drinks and snacks, our favorite is called a "dirty diet coke" cream, coconut and lime. yummy

I have had this fabric for over two months and have yet had time to cut into and start my project. BUt i am so excited to start! It's such adorable fabric!

at the beginning of summer I found out I had my first cavity of my life....7 of them( credit due to my body's change in ph level). I also discovered that numbing my bottom jaw still takes about 22 shots to the gums and once the nerve is hit, it takes almost 7 hours to wear off. So I looked like this for two days at work. Not fun.

mosquito season is here and this bite lasted for about three weeks. they sure do love me!

I have been making this recipe once  a week, it's a one pan burrito bowl ( found on no.2 pencils blog) so incredibly good)

the Radford's came up this direction for a family reunion and I finally got to ride down this infamous slide from all the Price family reunions stories( Piney lodge in swan valley, a church owned girls camp). It was so scary, but funny. All the kids loved it. We loved being able to see everyone. 

I watched a neighbors cats, and she gave us this super sweet basket full of fresh produce from Bear Lake!

Now, if you didn't hear, (it was on national news) Rexburg had a flash flood this last Tuesday and it was pretty terrifying. Students lost everything and they have quoted over $1.5 million in damages to the school buildings. You should you tube the flood videos. 

this was sent to me from a resident. It is the bottom floor apartment at birchwood. 

Now, today it looks like nothing happened, but it was sure crazy and so sad for all those students. 

last but not least we went on a date night... finally ... and saw Captain America and loved it. 

I will updated you later! For now it's finals week for Kade, schools over on the 23rd. He is highly looking forward to a break, 4 semesters straight!  I am working on my sweet cousins wedding and we are off to Houston on the 1st of August!
