Halloween!

So for Halloween, Carson was Charlie Brown. I was Sally and Kade was supposed to be Linus... But had to take a test instead!

The snoopy doll is from uncle Bennett who we miss more than we can say right now!

He was a bit done at the end of the day!

We just went to a ward party! It was WAAY TOO COLD to to anything else.

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommies!

Mothers are best friends, care takers, ever loving and ever supporting.

Today in church, the sweet woman who spoke said being a mom is always a learning process!

Which makes me excited!

My mom has always been so supportive of me and what I want to do! This picture above is when she flew out to Hawaii with me to get me already for my internship. Then she came out to visit me with my dad while there!

She also has encourage us as kids to better understand the world around and to make memories as a family. I have so many treasured memories!

Sure love her and everything she has taught me.

And last but not least here is me on my last Mother's Day without a kiddo in my arms! Crazy that this will change so soon!

Unexpected

Life has been so unexpected for the last month. Seriously! Who can even keep up these days?

I have missed SO many fun little things I would love to post about and don't even have time.

I haven't even gone Christmas shopping yet.

We are consumed with so many blessings, I can't even count them out loud.

Life is good, really good. Just so fast. So gosh darn fast and unexpected.

Promise to post more on everything later. Just wanted to let you all know we are alive, happy and grateful.

October

Yep. I posted once the entire month of October! Sorry about that!

Any ways here are a few things we did!

I decorated for fall! I have these adorable pumpkins that go up and light up!

Then I have this super cute one with table runner from my adorable grandma! { hands down top five best wedding gifts ever!!!} She is seriously the sweetest and each time I pull out one for the season we are in, I get a huge smile on my face and my heart warms up!

She also made this one for the fall

Aren't they adorable!?

Here is the front door to the apartment...

The Sheppard came for conference! And that is always fun! Some how we ended up taking the goofiest pictures!
Bennett at the Pizzeria Galleria in Midway:) yummy!

Jackson at the Walker's. So now every time he calls he looks like he is stuck in my phone:)!
Walker imitating Audrey!
And Kade making a face because I wanted to take a picture.

So we told Audrey she had to be a cat for Halloween. Between smacking her off the bed and keeping her out of the cupboards and not sitting in the chairs she ended up under my maxi skirt, which has now become the norm.

Where she sits when we eat dinner, just tall enough to torture you with the kitty eyes!

We also ate at the Tiki Hawaiian Kitchen. aka the best Hawaiian plate lunch around. If you have come to visit and we haven't taken you there.... I am so sorry. Please come back and we can go!

Kade also took me on a date to get Cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. { side note; why does the cheesecake have to be so expensive!?!?} anyways.... I got pumpkin, pumpkin pecan cheesecake. What that means is there is a top layer of pumpkin cheesecake and a bottom layer of pumpkin pecan pie filling then the crust. It was incredible!!!

Halloween we did nothing, we didn't even dress up once or buy candy. I know we are lame but Kade had tons of homework. So my co worker carved this cutie at work, and that was my Halloween.

And last but certainly not least it is fall, and Utah is pretty this time of year.
Ta da that was October!

4th of July Vacation {part two}

So on Friday, we slept in of course... all us old folk stayed out way too late watching a movie! Haha anyways we decided it seemed like a good day to head up to LA. Its an incredible childhood to live so close to a place people travel all over the world to see..... yet you never go there because of the "tourists" So we became tourists, with my utah license places.... we didn't even have to pretend sadly!

we drove through Venice Beach! and stopped at the Santa Monica pier!

So cool it has an amusement park! and such gorgeous buildings and homes along the beach walk. there is even a path specifically for bikers! { which us tourists are standing on.. locals did not like us!}

They have this sweet sign that tells you how far away the other big surf spots are! Pretty cool!

on of the first, Hot dog's on a stick! So cool! this one had been opened since the early 50's and sadly had a demolition notice on the side of the building!

I had No idea that Santa Monica BLVD. is the end of Route 66 and the pier is drivable, and thus considered to be the end of the trail! So cool!

The entry way to an alley with peoples front doors, oh the life to live on the beach! Probably, no so great with all the sick nasties walking by but still, the vibrant history would be super cool!

We went to the LA temple, and took a short tour of the Vistor's center there!

We went to Rodeo drive, and sadly{ though I would have LOVED to...} the traffic was insane so we simply drove it!

about this time is when we started sing weezer and wishing the large incredible homes where ours!

More route 66 signs!

I have seen Wicked here, and the Lion King.

The Dolby Theathre, with all of its Emmy and Oscar'ness just oozing into all the tourists!

Again, we chose to forgo the walking among the thousands { about this time we started seeing what was commonly referred to as the shorty shorts people }of other people and drive by, which meant I couldn't get a solid picture of any of the "stars" on the ground!

It's not a true vacation if you don't get all the good eats in! Sadly we didn't stop at this one, but I think the 100 people in line and waiting under canopy shades, we grateful we did not stop to enjoy the local grub!

The Skyline of downtown! We finally started to make our way back home at this point, when we got there, We went to dinner at the Embarcadero. A new restaurant in Rancho. It was yummy! then we grabbed ice cream on our way home!

Saturday, Celesta and I did what most girls do we went shopping! Both spent a decent amount of money and were quite happy with our purchases!

We spent a good amount of our vacay eating! oh my goodness we had some good eating! Celesta and Pete got a taste of Albertaco's {yes that is one word.} and we went back for seconds!

We went to see Long Ranger that night, everyone loved it! It is was funny and cute!
Sunday morning, we woke and said our goodbyes and I secretly{not secret anymore} cried a little. I sure love being in California there are very few places in life where you feel like you belong, and even though in high school I used to swear up and down CA was not one of them, I was so wrong. I miss it everyday. But I am so grateful for our life right now, we are where we are supposed to be and its been quite the ride.

Happy 4th of July! and thanks Pete and Celesta for coming with us!

Here is to more adventures!
