Carson and I spent a total of 10 days at home inDecember

The 1-7th in Arizona

The 7th- 12 at home

12-18th in California watching uncle walker and setting up Christmas. 

18th-22 at home

22-26 in Utah

26-30th in Boise

31 at home. 

We spent a a ton  of time with family and were very excited to be home! 

So these were the few photos I got while actually at home. 

A few moments

A few things I want to remember,

Carson wakes up religiously at 3:30 am. 

If he wakes up from a nap crying, when I go pick up him up( most times) I simply hug and say, " you are okay, it's mommy" and he stops almost instantly. 

When He is tired he rubs his face into my chest. 

He smiles when he hears the face time ring tone.

Loves it when I put my hair in a high pony tail and shake my head. 

Loves to lay in the bed with me and read books

Still naps and takes a bottle with the blow dryer blowing on him right after a bath.

Has a hard time with new people.

Doesn't like to be overwhelmed. 

Loves to smile at me.

Has very expressive eyebrows. 

Gags at every first bit of food, even if he likes it. 

Will hold his hands up like he is holding an invisible cup and mimic your movements with your cup until he gets a sip of whatever I am having. 

Starting in January loves to be on his tummy.

Doesn't really like other babies.

Has a favorite book, and toy.

Arizona

My My cousin Jesse was married on December 5th in the Gilbert Az temple. My word that is a beautiful temple! 

Walker and I road tripped out from CA and ALMOST GOT OFF THE FREEWAY IN SAN BERNANDINO!!!!!!!!! the day and exact time of the terrorist shooting. We saw the helicopters the police cars and the warnings on the gps traffic. Ask me about in person.... It's a wild story! Seriously I have never been more grateful to have kept driving. 

We had a blast! Carson met all of my Dad's siblings, met my cousins( even sat on his cousin to be Nora who is still in mommys tummy), bonked his head for the first time, spent lots of time with his 2nd cousin Graham, stayed up late with mom and Walker watching the incredible 's, and we all had fun doing flowers and what Sheppards do best, hanging out together. 

Uncle Walker was Carson's first teenage babysitter.... His mom has major trust issues;)... He was great for him and walker handled it like a pro.

These are the first photos we have of all three us since Carson's blessing.... And I love them all( even when the sun came out way faster then we expected!!!)

5 months!

Carson is now 5 months old!

Rolled over on November 21st!

He doesn't really roll unless he absolutely can't reach something he wants. HE rolls to his side and uses his legs to pretty much propel him wherever he needs to go. its  pretty funny to watch him "run' around the sides of his crib to get all over.

He has been to 4 states now, we added Arizona this last week.

He is such a happy little guy.

He has gotten over his stranger danger a bit more( he didn't really have a choice! all my family great aunts& uncles, uncles,great grandparents, grandparents wanted to love all over him!)

He eats "big boy" food once a day. I thought about waiting until 6 months but honestly I couldn't keep up with him food wise. 

He loves bananas and green beans. Kicks and get excited every time he eats. He Hated pears. So far he has had sweet potatoes, squash, prunes, peaches, carrots, and apples. He eats these with rice 2-3 tbsp of rice cereal. 

He doesn't have a schedule. He eats the same about the same time all day and sleeps when he is tired. 

He loves anything that makes a rattling noise.

He giggles pretty freely now, but only for select people. 

He still falls asleep in public, sleeps on my chest and loves to be in thick of things even while sleeping.

November

November went by so fast! Honestly, I can't even remember everything that happened! Terrible, I know as I remember I will updated this post..

It's winter and Audrey sleeps like this to keep warm! 

Bath time is still his fav! But we can't forget we can't do anything without the fingers in our mouth!

We headed to my parents for thanksgiving!

Carson was pretty excited about sitting at the table.... It was so funny! He just squeaked and yelled and smiled.

We went to fashion island to see the tree! So fun to do the things I did as a kid with my kid. 

Kade and I got to sneak out for our first date since Carson joined us. It was so fun!
